I'll be honest, when I was a tiny munchkin, Alan Davis was an art god to me (and he still is today), and as much as I loved Kitty, I was a die hard Rachel Summers fangirl.

Davis's run on Excalibur was the best. THE BEST. And it WAS all about Kitty and Nightcrawler.
I was such a disillusioned kid when I went to pick up my comics one week and it was some other artist drawing it.

For real. And I don't feel like anything he did after that was up to quite the same standard. That series was peak Davis for me.
