Or you may not. Your call. My short is pretty much just strange nonsense. Also, this will be the first comic EVER that I do full-on digitally. So we'll see if I can do that without sucking.

your details are amazing. Are you using Photoshop to work on your lines or are you using Manga Studio?

Everything before this was drawn on paper, but I'm experimenting with a new, all-digital process.

Now that I look at it again, I can see that it's digital. But it was not super obvious at fist, so I think it'll be great.
Can't wait to see!

Did you scan a prisma color thumbnail? Or is this really 100% di-jee-tall?

So everything that resembles an actual drawing is digital. The blurry thing on the VEERY BOTTOM is a colerase thumbnail sketch that's at most an inch high. I like doing traditional thumbnails and shooting a photo on my phone instead of using a scan. It's quick, simple, and doing the thinking on paper is still easier for me.

Plus, when it comes time to dig in and lay out your panels, you don't have that intimidating blank page experience, nor is your thumbnail so specific or tight that it interferes with your ability to find the best drawing/composition/etc. It's the best comics-planning solution I've arrived at so far.

I do my storyboard planning the same way.

what program are you using? and the perspective point. is that something inherit in that system or something you picked up elsewhere?

also, these finished pencils in panel 1 & 2 (halfway)? or inks?

I'm using Photoshop. That perspective radial is a file that I drop into photoshop and use for all my digital drafting. If you just google image search 'perspective radial' or perspective point or something you can find one you like, isolate the linework and reuse it FOREVER!

I'm thinking right now that all the black lines are inks. But we'll see. This is an experiment...

yeah, seen that file before. on another comp (which ultimately crashed) I took 3 or 4 of those, colored them all different and tried to use it in a similar fashion.

Manga Studio's "snap to perspective" is easier for me to handle. Or rather, just as difficult... depending on your POV.

interested in seeing more!
